Remember our post on the accident along Corporation road involving a Mobike rider? Unfortunately, she did not make it.
The 19-year-old victim-Ms. Wang Yuling-came from China to work in an electronics company. Heartbreakingly, she did so to support her family immediately after “completing junior high”, and “was very filial” as said by her father. Apparently, she was the sole breadwinner as her father had “been unable to work due to cirrhosis (scarring of the liver), cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder), and hydronephrosis (swelling of the kidney)”.
Unfortunately, Ms. Wang fell into a coma for eight days after the accident. She had, according to her father, had injuries “all over her body” and that one of her legs had its flesh exposed. She also suffered severe injuries to the brain. Even after 2 surgeries, she failed to recover.
Let this be a warning to all road-users: be vigilant, stay safe!
